How much does Mooveez cost?

Downloading the app, registration and maintaining a user account on Mooveez are all for free. We offer a FREE TRIAL WITHOUT ANY COMMITMENTS in order for you to access all the study materials and try out the app. To continue studying with the app after, you will need to activate a paid subscription. You will find details on the length of the free trial period and the current cost of subscriptions in the Mooveez app. You will also find details there on all our latest special offers and deals.

Can I try out a subscription?

You can try out Mooveez and all the available study materials FOR FREE AND WITHOUT ANY COMMITMENTS. Without needing to enter your payment details and without any auto renewals. Details on the length of the free trial period are in the app.

How does the free trial subscription work?

After you install the app you’ll need to register an account. The first time you switch on Mooveez, an app wizard will appear and show you how to use the app. In order to try out all the features of the app, you need to activate free trial access to the study materials. This trial is FREE AND WITHOUT ANY COMMITMENTS. You do not need to enter any payment details to activate the trial access. This means you cannot be charged anything at the end of the free trial. This is yet another feature which separates Mooveez from the vast majority of apps available on Google Play and the App Store!

How can I purchase a subscription?

You can purchase a subscription direct in the Mooveez app, in the Settings menu. Subscriptions are facilitated through the Google Play store on Android devices and through the App Store on Apple iOS devices. Payment methods, use, administration and cancellation of subscriptions are therefore all governed by the terms and conditions of these portals. For more information on these, please visit the relevant pages of Apple and Google.

How can I purchase just selected movies / or titles for study one of languages Mooveez offer?

We offer a complete package with all study materials. It is not possible to purchase individual study materials separately.

Do I need to renew my subscription when it is about to end?

No, you don’t need to. Subscriptions will renew automatically until you cancel them.

How do I cancel a subscription?

Subscriptions purchased through the App Store (on iOS platforms) can only be cancelled by the end user. Direct in their device under: Settings > [your name] > iTunes and App Store > Apple id/ID: [your Apple ID] > Show Apple ID > Subscriptions. Subscriptions purchased through Google Play (on Android platforms) can only be cancelled by the end user or by Mooveez Support. The user on their device goes to: Play Store > menu in the top left corner of the screen > Subscription. Request for help with cancelling a subscription have to be sent to from the email address which the Mooveez subscription account is registered with and which you have made the request about.

How often do you expand the selection of study materials on offer?

We try to increase the selection at least once a week. As soon as you register for the app we will advise you of anything new via notifications. However you’ll need to enable notifications in the app in order to receive them.

Why don’t you have the latest movies?

We choose movies based on their suitability for study and for you to practise understanding. We also choose movies that you will love watching again and again. For this reason you won't find the latest hits in our selection.

Why does the selection differ in individual countries?

We negotiate individual distribution rights individually for each region and for this reason the selection on offer is not the same in each country.

How long will a movie be available for?

We sign the distribution agreements for a minimum term of 1 year, although it’s typically for longer, as it is a significant investment in terms of cost and production time to develop study materials based on the Mooveez method. This is another reason we try to maximise the amount of time that movies are available for. We advise users 1 month in advance of any movies which are due to be removed from the selection.


What languages can I practise with Mooveez?

The core of the app is in English. However, over time, we have added other languages, namely Spanish, French, German and Russian. Trial and paid subscriptions include access to all languages and their study materials.

What sort of study plan do you recommend?

The app wizard will show you the recommended process to follow with your study.

I’m a beginner. Is Mooveez for me?

Absolutely. Although you will need a little more patience, your lower language level might even be to your advantage. You will learn phrases which are actually used and, thanks to the audio-visual experience connected with them, the words will stick better since they appear in the context of how they would actually be used.

Is Mooveez also suitable for children?

Yes. Mooveez is also suitable for children due to the diverse selection of movie titles available. The specific movie title for underage students should be chosen by a parent or another adult.

Is it possible to learn to speak with the Mooveez app too?

Mooveez helps you practise understanding. And understanding a language is the basis for you to be able to actively use it and to speak it.

How is watching a film with Mooveez different from watching a standard movie with subtitles?

The entire Mooveez selection has been re-translated. No words have been left out or modified, as is often the case with standard movie subtitles. And instead of adapting idioms, cultural quips or jokes - we explain them. Plus there are a variety of language quizzes available for every film. A couple of huge advantages of Mooveez are its easy navigation through the transcript and the ability to cover the original or translated pages with a ‘blotter’.

What is Mooveez?

Mooveez is a language learning app designed to help you understand foreign languages. It’s suitable for learners at all levels. It’s also suitable for children, thanks to its wide variety of available learning material. In short, it’s for anyone who wants to practise understanding real, native speech. The Mooveez learning materials partially replicate a native language environment. In the app, these materials add value and push the ‘practise of understanding’ to such a level that the app has been recognised and awarded by language experts from the British Council as well as by leading linguists and methodologists from different countries.

Technical queries

What platforms and devices does Mooveez work on?

Mooveez works on tablets and smartphones of both major operating systems - iOS (version 10.0 and higher) and Android (version 4.4 and higher). You can also view the app via Apple TV and ChromeCast. Other than these, other device options are based on the specifications of your device - they may be compatible with Mooveez but Mooveez has not been specifically designed to work on them.

Is it possible to use the app on desktop computers or notebooks?

No, this is currently not possible. Windows, MacOS, Linux and ChromeOS operating systems as well as Android software emulators are not supported.

Can I use Mooveez on more than one device simultaneously?

Yes, you can be logged into up to three devices at the same time with the one account.

If I use the app on more than one device, will the same information be displayed on all?

Yes, it will be the same on all devices as the selection of study materials is linked to your Mooveez account. You can download or archive study materials to individual devices as needed. It is not currently possible to synchronise any of your study progress in the app across devices.

How much space will the study materials take up?

The size of the movies mainly depends on their lenght, but it ranges between 200 MB and 2 GB.

Can I save on to a memory card from the app?

Yes, you can download study materials and save them to a micro SD card on devices with an Android operating system.

I don’t have room for another movie on my device. What can I do?

You can store any movies you are currently not working with for free in our cloud and return to them whenever you wish. On Android devices, you can also save your study materials to a SD card.

Why do you offer the option to select the language of translation only with some movie titles?

We are bound by distribution rights which dictate what translation language we are able to use in particular countries. However we add the option to change the target language whenever we are able to.

Can I use Mooveez in other countries?

Yes. Download the movie titles you’ve selected on to your device and they will be available for you to play anywhere in world.


I didn’t get a registration confirmation email.

You should typically receive your confirmation email within a few minutes after you register. If this does not occur, please check the spam and promotions folders of your email. If you don’t find it there either, please contact us at and let us know the email address which you registered your account with. We will send you a new activation email or will activate the account for you and let you know.

I am unable to download a movie.

Firstly make sure that you are logged in to Moveez and that you are logged in with the account that has a subscription to that movie. It is also possible that you are trying to download training/study materials via your mobile data (rather than wifi) and you have not enabled this option in the app. Please enable the option first in order to proceed.

I am in another country and the movie selection has changed.

The selection of movies on offer is based on the country which you are in when you use the app. If you know that you will be away in a foreign country for a period of time, we recommend that you download the desired movies to your device before you leave.

I have an activation card but I am not able to activate my subscription.

Activate your subscription using the QR code or the alphanumeric code on your activation card. If neither of these methods work (eg. the activation code was accidentally scratched off), please contact our support at We are here to help you.
